This question has been voiced many times over the last 30 years of teaching Attunement. Simply said, Attunement is union. The Attunement approach in living allows for the re-alignment of the human capacities of conscious expression – energy, feeling-heart, thinking-mind and action-body (what many people think of as “me”) – and the experience of union with Being. Being is the Creator. In the Attunement process there is a fundamental shift of conscious identity, into a perspective that I am a Creator Being with a human vehicle.
What is a Creator Being? Someone studying quantum physics might say Being is light and consciousness. From my experience I say the Creator Being is Love and Light and Life and this substance (I often used the word radiation) can be revealed through one’s consciousness. In the book, Attunement: The Creator’s Magic, I say this about Being. “Being is eternal. Being is known through a Triune Nature. Being is the Creator and responsible for creation. The law of Divine Being is eternal progress.” And I also mentioned what Being is not. “Being is not unformed. It is not an undifferentiated mass of spiritual cells, or drops of water in a big ocean. Being is not here to learn a lesson. It is not required to gain experience in anything other than its own nature, which is the Creator’s nature. Being is not here to save a person, mankind, nature, or the planet. There are no evil Beings, or more particularly a specific evil Being somewhere, trying to trick one person or all of humankind into doing nasty things in their living.”
One of my mentors, Lloyd Arthur Meeker said that “The purpose of Attunement is this: to establish alignment in the body and mind and heart with the eternal life forces of Being, alignment in the body with the forces of Life from Source.”
I always begin the Attunement classes by telling everyone that they will never be the same after the class. Attunement is a doorway by which one may, if she or he is willing, come to experience the reality of oneself; identity in the Creator Being – who they are. From that point on there is no “going back” to the old human self that was there before.
