The Da Vinci Code and Sacred Symbols
Recently my wife Donna and I saw the movie “The Da Vinci Code”. I had previously listened to the book on a CD and found that seeing the movie added another dimension to my experience. Actually in some ways the movie detracted from the visual image I had constructed in my mind, but in other ways it added color, breadth, and a visual timeline. I confess that I have a proclivity for the sublime details of the written story which the movie did not always faithfully follow.
The Da Vinci story is filled with symbols and their fascinating meaning. The emblematic mystery adventure is akin to getting a view into the ancient past. Two of the more vivid ancient symbols referred to in the story are those which represent the masculine and feminine energies.

These two sacred symbols carry substantial substance and meaning because of their use over the millennia and they appear singularly and together in many different facets of today's world. Some examples are, V for victory, the > for a return on the computer keyboard or to enclose or highlight something specific < > in written text, and when combined in a certain way the two symbols create the X symbol which represents the unknown, or X which marks the spot, or in today's sport world, the X games.
On occasion I use the X symbol to represent the present moment, as noted in the drawing below, through which Being's radiant flow unceasingly emanates.
In Eckhart Tolle's best seller “Power of Now”, Tolle mentions that reality is present in the now and it is where one may find one's true Self. “Being is the eternal, ever present One Life beyond the myriad forms of life that are subject to birth and death. However, Being is not only beyond but also deep within every form as its innermost invisible and indestructible essence. This means that it is accessible to you now as your own deepest self, your true nature.” [page 13]
The X symbol, the combination of the feminine and masculine energies, is one way to represent the balance in the unified creative field generated through the Attunement process. It takes two sacred aspects, two poles, to create a field of union, and it is through this place of union that the radiant work is accomplished.
One aspect in the creative field could be viewed as the radiant, giving, initiating aspect (masculine) and the other aspect as the responsive, receiving, yielding aspect (feminine). Both aspects/poles are in each person. Each mindful Attunement Practitioner has the daily opportunity to experience both aspects of the masculine and feminine in living. An illustration of this is preparing a meal. One is radiantly (masculine) working with the food and the food is absorbing (feminine) and responding to the energy expressed through thought, feeling, and action. The result is a meal that looks, feels and tastes great, a meal that blesses the body not only nutritionally, but is also nourishing at other more refined levels.
Another subtle but sufficient point to consider when referring to the use of the symbol X, the balance in the unified field of the feminine and masculine, is that the feminine, the sacred vessel, in the X symbol could be seen as the primary energy for connection with the divine. The masculine energy, on the other hand, can be seen as the means to radiantly seed the world of form. As noted before both energies are present in each one of us because both energies are required to participate in the divine dance between Spirit and Form.
In our Attunement courses we consider in depth how to create, participate in, sustain, and maintain the many aspects of creative field technology as well as how to bring closure to and release the creative field when necessary. As an Attunement Practitioner one can truly say that life is filled with creative field possibilities where one may participate in releasing the blessing of the Divine on Earth.

Attunement Cosmology
...The primary instrument for Attunement perception is the heart-thymus. This is the window through which we look (via the radiation of Being) into the lower vibrational dimensions or levels.
